Indicators not working ??

Looking for some help here folks.

On Thursday my indicators were working perfectly, come Friday they weren't at all. Everything else still works fine except the heated grips also.

Any ideas what may be the issue ?? I'm wondering if there is any connection to the fact I used an external power source I fitted a while back for the first time on Thursday night to test if it was working properly ??

Have you had a look at the fuses? Fuse number 1 specifically, which supplies the sidelight and indicator circuits. Do your sidelights still operate?

It could be your accessory socket, especially if it's hooked into the sidelight circuit and wasn't protected by it's own fuse with a <10A rating. Or it might be that the heated grips, plus whatever you plugged in, together with the sidelights totalled more than 10A and fuse 1 blew?

Where did you connect the accessory socket? To the spare connector behind the dash perhaps? What did you plug into it? What circuit are your grips wired into and are they protected by a 3.5A/5A fuse?

Fuse number has blown as you suspected (just checked) As stated these things were working fine til the other day.

The aux socket is wired straight to the battery and is fused and is still working fine.

What about the grips? Which circuit are they wired into? It could be them that caused it?

Let's hope it's just one of those random fuse blowing moments.

If it goes again, you'll have to investigate further.

Not sure where they are wired in as they were on when I bought the bike and haven't really looked close enough to see where they go..

Thanks for your help.
