Tank bags
I'm looking for a new tank bag.
I currently use an old thing meant for a BMW that is a pain to take on and off. It's also rubbing on my tank near the seat and that's got to stop. So what do we use on a Tenere? There are various options i know but limited info other than pics. The bagster cover is great and i've had one before but what bag to go on the top. As we know the Tenere is an odd shape tank and a normal flat tank bag won't fit but i can't find many bags with the Tenere shape. Any ideas please? Mike |

I have got one, and I think it is probrably the best fit out there for the Ten. Comes with waterproof covers. Zips are waterproof. Very solid. Shout if you need more pics. Cheers |

With the Famsa Tank Bag (as above), do u unzip the bag from the base, or undo
the straps when u are filling up with petrol? I just got one of these, unzipped it from the base and had a right old job zipping it back on again. |

I just unzip oneside and lean it over if you unzip it it can be a little tricky as obvs the base with the zip isnt nice and flat its ben round the tank but if u unzip from the left to the bottom it leans over fine

I get along fine with my
Wolfman Enduro tank bag. Yes its small, a third the size of the (expanded) Famsa at 6 litres, but it takes all that I need to have at hand (especially when coupled with a small handlebar bag too).
Ive had bigger bags before, but always found that I never packed them to the gunnels and most of the time only used a fraction of their capacity. That, together with the fact I got tired of the acts of contortionism required to get at the ignition key, as well all the pi55ing about unzipping them to fuel up, made me consider a smaller bag. The filler cap is exposed with the Enduro bag fitted, so its very easy to live with. It doesnt get in the way standing or sitting and suits the shape of the Tens tank perfectly. If you think you can get away with something smaller Id give the Wolfman some thought. Its a nice looking bag and extremely well put together, with a quality appearance and feel. Sorry no picture. Trawled the archives and I dont seem to have a shot of the bike with it fitted, but you'll get the idea from the link. |

Been think of one too. I quite like the look of the Givi tankbag as it just clips onto the mounting plate fixed to tank filler.

Not a huge fan of Touratech stuff but have been using their tankbag for the Z for nearly 70,000 miles. It's only just becoming 'un-waterproof' so I've just got a Wolfman cover for it. I have to remove it to gas up but I do that twice a day so it's just part of my routine. It's a great fit and has served me well.

Have a look at this thread
http://www.xt660.com/showthread.php?...lux+tank+cover You will see pictures of my Baglux tank cover and bag here. Love mine and having both a small 'tweety' and the bigger 8.5 litre works a treat for day or longer rides. The tank cover is a real mind bonus on ferries to help avoid damage by the less careful loaders as well.
