Akro
Hi
I know a lad who had a twin Akro set up on his KTM 950 adventure. He has now turned it into a one can setup so may be selling the other can. It looks the same size as a MTC but is longer. If i was to buy it i would obviously need a link pipe. So...how easy would it be to make it fit? any good exhaust companies in the Midlands? is it worth even bothering? cheers |

Hey,
I was just about to enter into an exhaust project and did a bit of digging around... Have a look on eBay there are various things I found that may help. there is an exhaust pipe firm that will cut any size pipe to length and slot if for you (not kill it I mean stick four slots in each end) there is also a firm that sell flexible links that would get you a nice turn.... saves on the potentially costly solution of having someone custom design and bend one for you... Not sure how long the flexible ones last but I had a set up front on a big jag and they never failed... A good cheap way to at least test the exhaust before you have one made. let me know if you can't find them and I will stick up links for you. |

each to their own so i hope you like it, but there just too loud for me. With the diffuser disk in and the solid baffle there quite a bit better but still a little to loud for me (i just personally dont like loud exhausts) This is why i was thinking of this Akrapovic can, because its longer it should be quieter. i know the 950 is a different engine but the single Akro on that is really quiet. Phil - do the tool tube option, it would look great! |

hahahaha yeah I have heard they can be loud, this one is road legal so will be within noise regs at least. I just think that the Tenere doesn't sound lie a bike at the moment. sounds more like a giant Vespa. I do a reasonable bit of town work too so its never a bad thing to let people know you are on your way. Good luck with the project. let us know how it goes and sounds. |
