Diy tyre change

Its that time again,another rear tyre,this time im going to have a go at doing it myself,its been a long time since i changed a tyre ,the last time it was on a push bike, i have the correct tyre levers and also some rim protectors ,so............................. has anyone done this themselfs??? and any tips would be welcome .

Done your brake hose and pads for you didnt i,????????
Maybe i should charge you then i wouldnt have to do it myself .

yeah you did mick and i did got charged.... lol

but seriously have you any idea how hard it is to dislodge one of those tyre beads? hard as coffin nails they are like Bob said u will need a bead breaker

LOL.....Yep for a bead breaker im going to try 2 g clamps on the side wall and see how i go from there

you can do it yourself at least you know it"s done correctly.I don"t fancey some we spotty apprentice scraping my new black rims, do it yourself and it"s done right.Use plenty of washing up liquid and it"s a doddle.

The dirty deed has been done ! 1 new continental rear tyre now ready for action,with a bit of brute force, and as you said plenty of the slippery stuff on it went

Tyre Bead Breaker

I got fed up of trying to break the bead on my tyres , so i searched the net and found one.
I coppied it and made my own,
I have made 4 sets to date and made it lighter in the process.
It works way better than it looks though.
