Cush Drive Rubbers - Aftermarket
I note on ebay that Bitz For Bikes is listing aftermarket replacement cush rubber sets for the XT660.
Does anyone have any experience of this product ? Surely anyone entering the aftermarket area with replacement cush rubbers would engineer a product that has an improved service life !!!

I've used unbranded rubbers. Ordered them by mistake from
AJ Sutton, thought I'd clicked on OE part and couldn't understand why they were so cheap when they arrived!
TBH, they haven't been any better or worse than the genuine article. |

Thanks for the feedback ... but damn I was hoping for a solution to the wear (general slop) problem without the need to resort to inner tube packing techniques
You would think Yamaha could fix this problem overnight with a simple rubber specification change ... it's not like they wouldn't go through a whole heap of them

The last set I had in my stock wheel were Wemoto ones. Can't say they were any better or worse, still had to pack them after a bit, but they were slightly cheaper than the OE ones.
I've fixed the problem now by sticking a Talon wheel in, but that did cost about as much as 30 sets of cush rubbers . I've only got to do another 300,000 miles and it will have paid for itself

I'd be interested in a set as well. I'm from Belgium, but not too far from where Dallas lives, so if he doesn't mind it can be one shipment and I'll pick them up from him.

Marcus (Fridolin) has already agreed to forward for me from Germany to Denmark. Postage cost is often very reasonably so it might be an idea to pool a lot together for the long haul postage and custom clearance and then forward it within EU (preferably in a EU country with low custom fee and a low VAT :-) )
Maybe the demand is so big that others with the right tools and knowledge of how to use them would be interested aftermarket rubbers ?
