Went for a snort: XTZ 1 Aprilia Tuono 0
Went for a snort the other day up to Col'dAspen. A great climb with fluid going and good road surface.
On the odd 200m straight in between the twisties the Aprilia Tuono (or any 1000cc moto) can eat the 660.....but don't forget there are more twisties than 200m straights lol A short 45 sec video for a laugh.... The German bikers at the summit just looked on with no expression.....total distain......lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6p3pQv4np-g Watch it if you can be bothered....(cut the sound...just wind noise) .

Haha Nice work.
All that suspension travel soaks up the bumps and dips. |

your perfectly correct that on the twisties the xt can show up most bikes as the handlings there and also the instant grunt out if the corners, but come the straights yes the bigger bikes get past but sure straights are boring.

In this clip though......not really apples to apples......the old 660 is just no match for 1000cc plus of a Tiger...the majority of the next clip was on the limiter ....now if I bought a Super Enduro it'd be more of a match lol.

LMAO! Enjoyed the demon braking efforts.
For underpowered bikes v ones with enough power, going back downhill is the go imo. If one is desperate enough, a victory is possible in tightish going. Obviously this would only be attempted in a controlled environment ![]() |
