Best Lid Cam Recommendation
Had some pretty close scrapes lately, i won't bore you with the details, it's nothing new. But I've been thinking of getting a lid cam as i know they can really help if you have an accident. I know about the GO PRO Hero range but they look a bit like a mini toaster strapped to your lid. I was think more on the lines of something smaller and more aerodynamic like the Road Hawk Ride

So can anyone help with a recommendation please. Cheers.... P.S. Hi Capt, bet this is in the wrong thread, lol

Hi Badga,
"Best" is a bit subjective - some people want best video quality, some want best sound, some want the smallest size. So everyone will have different ideas of "best". But anyway, have you looked at the range of Drift Innovation helmet action-cams yet? http://www.actioncameras.co.uk/brands/drift/cameras See http://www.xt660.com/showthread.php?t=20260 for my XTX video shot using a Drift X170. There's a selection of different models and kits available to suit your pocket from 129.99 to 350 upwards. Reasonably compact, very easy-to-use and intuitive user interface, a built-in colour display and a wireless remote stop/start. You could even pick up an older model second-hand on eBay at bargain price if cost is a major factor. Last edited by DaveR; 03-07-13 at 14:40. |
