Thumbs down JT front sprockets.

Around a month or.so ago I fitted a D.I.D xtrme upgrade chain and sprocket kit to my new to me Z the oem stuff had done 10500 ish miles and the chain had decided to jump the rear sprocket bending a few links so it was in a word ******ed.

Fitting the kit went very smoothly and all was dandy allthough I did notice tht the final drive was a little noisey for brand new gear. And I had a jolt in the transition between excelleration n deceleration and and vise versa, I had done the cushdrive mod so ruled that imediatly, So I played with the chain tension and got the verniers out to make sure the wheel was perfectly aligned but to no avail, the noise persisted as did the jarring.

Roll on a month and problem is still here, after extensive investigation I realised that the front sprocket meshed very poorly with the chain, as in I could rotate the sprocket around 2mm either either direction before it actually meshed fully with the chain. It was not loose in the spline.

Needless to say I took it back to lbs and told them the issue and they rufunded me, so I ordered a renthal sprocket from eBay 50p cheaper tham JT and swapped them over, noise now gone and the meshing is perfect.

Has anyone else had any JT front sprocket problems?? A one off maybe?? The rear is excellent and fits and meshes perfectly.

Renthal fronts for me from now on I think.

Jon
