Spares Request
Has anyone got a rear light/reg plate assembly they want to get rid of.
I snapped an indicator off in an off road "technical dismount" when I hit a massive rock, and the indicator broke the plastic of the light assembly away. I've tried Araldite but it flakes off with the mud and jet washes so I'm now holding it on with a good old cable tie. I'm not keen on the R&G tail tidy and prefer the original. Before I buy a new spare part I thought I'd see it there is anyone on here that might have upgraded to a tail tidy and have a spare rear end they'd like to get rid of??? I'm willing to pay or possibly swap a spare?? |

I broke the parrot beck tail light on my XTR...
So I put a WR450 rear guard on.. Looks way better with a single pipe.. ![]()

How badly did it break, this happened to me a few years ago. I just got a small piece of aluminium and shaped it the same as the area behind and pop riveted it behind to support the indicator. Used small rivets and painted them black & you can't even tell!

I have done the same and bought some after market indicators and located them as per the bellow pic. There was not much room inside for the bolts but l managed by removing a small amount of plastic with a big drill bit.
I bolted a piece of gal tin sheet across the tail just below the tail light and bent the ends forward. I relocated the number plate as it kept falling off due to being made of rubish tin and flipped the plate light upsidedown. Still need to remove all the other brackets and cut the tail off. Also scored another complete unbroken tails for $50, noice. ![]() |
