XTR Front Wheel Removal

Hi all, any tips on holding the front up to take the front wheel off for changing tyres of doing fork seals? Ive put it on rear padock stand & tryed to lift the bash plate with a trolly jack & its trying to lift the rear, i want to raise the front forks but my garage beams dont look strong enough? Any idea's????????

When i did my xtx front seals i used a stack of bricks...not the best idea but if you want the wheels off the floor it works...oh and some thick mdf wood on top of bricks or some old carpet...better still rubber car floor mat

I just use my trolley jack and axle stands under the foot peg brackets.

I have a trolly jack for previos bikes but hesetant to use it due to the underslung pipes.

Is it safe to hold the bikes weight on the pipes :s

I would not use the pipes to jack it up, you could damage them.

Ahh sorry i see you have a bash plate so no stress would be put on to the exhaust.
