Although it was for only 4 seconds, that was really me on the first edition of the new Tenere which could be the first that arrived at the northern most point of Europe!
I rode there in Sept 2008 from Frankfurt, and the bike came out just in the summer. When I arrived at around 4ish in the afternoon, the tourists were just leaving, that's why it was empty. I wasn't supposed to ride into that spot but heck I wanted to take a pic of the globe with my bike. I noticed there was some crane there but didn't pay much attention to it. Then a random guy just showed up asking if I needed help to be photographed. Next thing I knew, he asked if they could film me, and they did for 2 hours. That's what the crane was there for. However, they said they couldn't send me a copy or the final product in any form because it is government property for the tourist center there. They said the only way I could see it was to go back a year later to the tourist center at the exact same spot where they would show it in an amphitheater where they would show it for the next 25 years. So I'm excited that I found it on the web 4 years later, even just for 4 seconds of fame.
