Not that good, Yamaha hand guards
I stopped on some loose gravel, and dropped the tenere when my foot slipped. It went over and landed on the hand guard (fortunately). I was surprised to see that it snapped at the mirror mount. So thats from stationary, would be a lot worse if I was going at speed. So thats why bark busters use aluminium.

Not good to hear. I've got those hand guards fitted too. Awesome looking piece of water in the back ground. Where is that?
And what make/model of front fender is that? I'm looking for a high fender for my XTZ. Did it bolt straight on or mod needed? |

Hi, thats the coastal road Isle of Mull in the Scottish Highlands. To be honest you can do a few days of riding around Lochs like these. They just go on and on.
My front fender is a UFO from eBay. It was about 25. Front 2 holes fit straight onto yamaha. I had to drill 2 new ones at the back and take off the tow hook. I think its made for the YZ/WR. |

I can vouch for the Barkbusters, as my Ten fell over or actually dropped over by a 'mate' from stationary. The aluminum backbone got bent slightly but was easily straightened back out in a vice. No other damage was inflicted on the bike.

Mine went down the road at 40mph with no damage to the barkbusters apart from a few scuffs.
Not bad for 100. You will need the external weights if you buy them.
