Operation Alternator - riding trails in northern France
Some friends over at ADVRider had organised a weekend of trail riding for big bikes over in Le Nord / Pas-De-Calais.
It started pouring down during the night from Friday to Saturday and continued all day. No one was feeling particularly enthusiastic to hit some trails, so most of Saturday was spent recovering from various hangovers and visiting Calais. Fortunately the weather cleared up late afternoon and after a cold night Sunday brought perfect clear skies and sunshine. Time to hit the mud.
The guys at
Point2 had kindly lend me a new model Drift HD action cam to try out. It is significantly more compact than the previous model and comes with a handy remote control. Unfortunately, though I had checked whether the horizon was more or less straight, I failed to notice the rotatable lens was in portrait mode in stead of landscape. So I ended up having to rotate and crop the images afterwards.
Anyway, the resulting footage was compiled into a rather amateurish movie, but I hope you guys might still enjoy it.
