Steering head races.

Had a problem with steering. Was getting a bit notchy a low speeds. Kept meaning to service this in regular servicing but never got to it. Bike sits out most of the time too. Dropped the yoke down and had a wee look and a degrease and found the usual water ingress and lack of grease problem. A wee bit dulling of the rollers but the track is good. Regreased with a brake grease I use at work which doesn't dry up. ( not the copper crap. lol ) This grease is marketed by Bosch and Mintex and is good stuff and free to me. ha ha . Reassembled all the bits and jobs a good un. 1 hour job. I have risers and had to release the front brake line fixings and calipers to lift the bars off but the rest was easy peasy. ( In case anyone is interested ) The bike is 2 years old and 19000 miles.
