Damaged Rim

Took a big hit the other day and just discovered l have a 3cm long flare on one side of my front rim.
Will call the mechanic in the morning to ask advice.....
But in the mean time.......
Any advise or is it cactus.
I very much doubt its a home fix job.
Standard Yammy 660 rim.
Thanks.
