Maxxis Supermoto death weave!

Hey all just a little advice/warning- I recently changed to some Maxxis supermoto tyres, got a blinding price on them of 113 for a pair fitted and balanced, so thought, excellent, should be ok.

Till you exceed 80mph that is......then you get the almighty handlebar shake and shimmy. I did a little investigation and turns out it's the rear tyre's odd profile (tall) that's to blame, and apparently others have experienced it too.

Not much can be done, some say running low pressures aliviates the problem, but won't fix.

So in case anyone else considers these tyres, exercise caution on the XTX, they don't suit, and it's a shame as they are vey grippy with great traction at lower speeds.

To you Maxxis Supermoto -
