08 XTR Norway

Hi. I have recently bought a black 08 XTR with 9000km on the clock. Bought it in southern norway and drove it home to northern norway, a trip on 1950km. The trip took 3 days The bike coped well for the task, only issue was the winddrag, a bigger windshield and handguards are on the shopping list. Any suggestions?

Havent done any modfications (yet), neither the previous owner seems to have done anything. The bike is stock. Will dig into this forum and probably i will figure out how to improve the bike

Welcome mate and nice choice (same as mine).

Try some barkbusters and the Yamaha touring screen maybe.

Enjoy and there is plenty of info and help on here, cheers.

Talking Welcome Graks

Great choice in bikes, you even chose the correct colour!

Supamanaint has given you good advice on the Barkbusters VPS.

Can't help you on the screen front, I prefer the wind & bugs!

Here's mine on a recent ride:

The large Yamaha screen works well for distance work, wind and bugs are fine but not for a 800km day.

Some don't like the look but it does the job.

Hi and welcome to the forum

Yamaha tall tinted screen

Depends what your looking from your guards, acerbis/yamaha guards are great on protection from falls/off roading but not the best for wind protection, where as something like KTM hand guards good on wind not best on drops.

Will try to find a dealer for Barkbusters in Norway, and check my yamaha dealer for the tall tinted windscreen.
