Talking Two *T's* in a pod ?

Well, today I watched with a tear in my eye as the TTR headed off to a new owner, for new adventures, in new lands....

I now have to clear out the stable to make way for a new stable mate for my Tenere, I have studied, thought, considered and wondered for many weeks... and since first falling for her at the Lakes meet in May lust grew inside me like a burning flame.

On Wednesday, a new birth, a new steed and once more my stable will have, not a first and second bike, but just two bikes, each as good as the other in the rolls they have.

On Wednesday, I pick up my Tiger 800XC (without any of that ABS rubbish).

So, 6 more sleeps!

Funny that,, I swapped a boat for a bike a few years ago...... which became another bike, then another, then a p/x on a Landrover !

I looked at the Super Ten, and I really wanted to want it, but just couldn't. In all honesty it was *too* perfect for what I want, I'd be bored with in in no time and to be fair after seeing Selina's in March, then again in May I just thought it was the right bike for the needs I have it for, it can tour, pillion tour (which is the main reason) but it'll be good on our crappy roads too (not excellent like the Tenere), much cheaper than the S10, and a local dealer helps too.

Also looked at the Versys,, in my humble opinion it sucks donkey dik and shouldn't be allowed on the roads, god it's awful! So I looked at the 1000 Versys, and wasn't keen. The Multistrada was a firm favourite, but at nearly twice the cost of the Tiger there wasn't really any justification, and while the tiger isn't the bike the Multistrad is, it's certainly more than half the bike, so I'm happy.

I always wanted to fly the British flag, but there was never the right bike,, now there is, and I can.
