Cool For your opinions guys :)

Well I originally started a post to mention about my project to get a unique set of exhaust completed for the XTX. It's been a few weeks, but the project is completed and the system is in place.

Below is some pics of the exhaust on the bike, tried to show the work that the fabricator put into making the system work.

This last one is to show the bend worked in to allow the pipe work to clear the swingarm and still allow the suspension to do it's job (this was prior to final polishing :P)

Personally I'm beyond thrilled with the finished product-it's a one off system, probably not to be repeated and it has met all my requirements-it's lighter than stock, tidys the look of the bike, and has aided my goal for increase noise and performance.

I'll be going for a dyno run soon to get a map sorted with the PCV, as currently i'm running Kevs 07 map with C.C.C.

If anyone likes the look, PM me and I can pass you onto ASBO exhausts/ GM for a chat

(please forgive the rotation. these were taken on my camera phone and they have not yet been edited )

Cheers SimonRoma, I've just had it checked and mapped on the dyno today, and have a print out that i'll be scanning and posting. It's now making just shy of 51bhp and 48ft lb of torque.

Just wish I had some better pics of it, oh well, once i've done the next lot of upgrades i'll consider that

It's certainly different.

Have you got any pics of the nearside of the bike ? One of the things with the Tenere, it looks a bit lob-sided with only one can, you need to have something in place on the n/s to fill the gap.

To balance things, you could, I suppose have a pair of cans each side, one pair from each header - A single with 4 cans, now that would be very different...

I think that's a combination of two things:

1) The Tenere headers wrap round to the left hand side of the engine, so the logical place for a single exhaust is on the left. Experience conditions us to find this a bit odd. A bike with a single can on the right doesn't look strange, because we expect that.

2) The stock moulded plastic tail-light/number plate hanger design on the Ten' screams "there should be two cans here".

Smile Update-dyno chart

I'll try and post a video of the bike running soon Maxwell, can't remove the baffles, side effect of the slash cut ends.

As for the pics, sure i'll post a pic of the nearside, I think it balances pretty well on the XTX, but I can see why on the XTZ it may be unbalanced.
I am considering a tool tube on mine

2 sets of twin stacks---- hehe- would be cool, but loose any weight savings and cost a lot to have done!!

Oh and here's the dyno output of my bike now

good looks

That looks quite good. Is it possible to get a pair of headers from you or buy some drawings/bending details?
My MT03 needs it's exhaust system rerouted. The air around the intake gets way too hot around here in the tropics.
