Greets from Germany

Hi,
Two weeks ago I become a proud owner of 2009 XT660Z Tenere in black. I live now in Essen, Germany but I come form Lodz, Poland. I am working at the University.
My new Balck Mamba is my second motorcycle. The previous one, was Suzuki DL650AK7 (which I am selling now). On Suzi I have done couple of short (2-3 week trips) to Nordkapp, South France, light off-road throug Pyrenees (Vibraction Book No. 5 http://vibraction.pagesperso-orange.fr/espagne/rb_5.htm), and most recently Essen-Etna (IT) - Albania - Montenegro - Essen. I have also lived for some time in Zurich in CH so went couple of times back and forth on the Swiss Alp mountain passes. Generaly, after 3.5 years and 50 tkm, and especially after visit to one of the most beautiful countries that I have ever seen - Albania - I have decided to say goodbye to my blue friend and move on to Yam. Decision was based on the off-road capabilities of XT. I realiezed that this kind of riding suits me best! :-)
Of course, while browsing through internet on the hunt for information about my new bike, I have found this, packed with knowledge, forum. It made my decision about purchasing the bike much easier!
Now I am searching for additional equipment that I can fit to the bike. I have bought it with DNA Stage 2 Air filter, LeoVince, Touring Screen, central stand and Yam bashplate.
Soon enough, I will be asking questions in other threads!
Cheers,
Greg

Hi Greg and welcome aboard mate.

Sound's like it's got some nice extras fitted and black is definitely the best colour!

...but I'm not so sure about calling your bike a Black Mamba due to its other meaning!

Enjoy your new bike, whatever you call it...

Is there any other meaning then this:

"The Black Mamba is one of Africa's most dangerous and feared snakes. It has a wide range of known locations throughout Africa.

The black mamba is the largest venomous snake in Africa and the second longest venomous snake in the world, after the King Cobra. Adult black mambas have an average length of 2.5 meters (8.2 ft) and a maximum length of 4.5 meters (~14 ft).

The Black Mamba is also the fastest land snake in the world, able to reach speeds in excess of 12 miles per hour ( 20 km/h)."

Don't click on either of these if you are easily offended, but I think this is what Pleiades was thinking about......

hehehehe, alles Klar.

So I guess, when I say that I love to ride the Black Mamba it might sound strange and bring some confusion...

Now I have to find a new name, God damn it...
