according to Ford it produce less CO2 than a Toyota Prius (which is an hibrid engine) I have only got it today, so I can't tell you yet. Apparently with a full tank (almost 55 litres) you can do up to 650 miles if driven sensibly.

I can do 600 in my Landrover..... granted it's tank is 70l

I agree though, you do need to do something about the weeds..

I have been waiting for a dry day to get the trimmer out mate, but it's an electric one, and with this consistent rain I haven't had a chance yet. I am planning on cutting them this weekend if it stays dry.

Let me tell you a bit about these new modern cars. If I approach a set of lights and stick the car in neutral, release the clutch, the engine shuts off, as soon as I press the clutch it comes back on, but... there is a button on the centre console that allows you to override that feature. It doesn't make sense to me, the booklet says that this features allows you to save fuel, but I don't get it, when your engine fires back on, you use more petrol than if you were idleing cause normally an idleing engine uses next to no fuel, I think they did that more for the environment than to save people money on fuel.

The car has a voice activated bluetooth system that once you pair it with your iphone / ipad / ipod can directly operate all the features of your phone by voice, you can tell it to play a particular track from your songs list or dial a number or turn the CD player and play track 3 for example or type a text by voice recognition. pukka!

The suspensions adjusts automatically to the road surface and you can set it to a particular temp inside so that the air con will keep you either warm or cool regardless of the temp outside. What else..... oh yeah, lights come on at dusk by themselves, soon as it starts to get dark off they go.

But that bluetooth voice activated thing is one of the coolest gadgets.

P.S. When I took this pic the date on the dash was wrong, I know, I have since resetted it to the correct date.

It's not about saving fuel, it's about getting the emissions down. If the engine isn't running at lights, it isn't pumping out gasses. It's the EU ! Wait till some bright spark suggests putting it on bikes......

When I bought my L/R last year, I had the option of one with the 'e-drive' as Landrover call it, same crap, engine shuts down when you are in neutral. Personally I don't like it. The same L/R with e-drive is cheaper road tax than mine, same engine !!

ps. Clue: I'm NOT a mechanic, franchised or not! Lol
