Fork Protectors XT R

Has anyone try to fit the harmonica type fork protectors on an XTR? The XTZ has them as standard but dont know if they fit to R keeping the plastic cover specific to R model. I saw there's a Neopren protection that fits. I have to change the dust and oil seals and i'm thinking to add some extra protection.
Thanks,

Thanks,
Ive seen a few piccies of the plastic fork protectors from off road bikes, but they normally included the removal of the nose plastics as well. Ive heard about the neoprane options but never used/seen them on an XTR but should give you a bit more protection.
