yep got some on mine. off of ebay, from hong kong.

made my own bracket. from metal bought at B&Q

See my tenere review here: http://redbikejohn.com/Tenere%20Owner%27s%20Review.htm

lots of people change the gearing by putting one tooth less on the front. this throws out the speedo though. you can get a 'speedo healer' but this only chnages the speed reading but the trip counter remains the same for some reason. not tried it myself yet.

I have. Mine are fixed into an auxiliary circuit, so they only work when the bike is running. LED's are great for 'look. I'm here' type lights, but they just don't get the same light out onto the road as a good old bulb. Mine are the VisionX (or is it XVision?), reported as one of the best - and I think they suck! Way over priced and just don't get enough light out.

I did that too. Some folk swear by it, but my advice would be to keep the original sprocket for when you want to change back. I found it didn't really give any benefit and at higher speeds the bike was using way too much juice. We had too bikes of similar build, with similar riders going the same places for over a week. The bike with the tooth missing was using about a litre more on each fill up. To be honest, it's better (if more expensive) to change the air filter (DNA) and can (MTC) and you release the real power.

Behind the little cover (two hex screws and it pulls off), there is a green (or at least it is in the UK!) connector with nothing attached - there's your power. You'll probably need to cut the connector and replace, as many searches have failed to identify a supplier for the male end of it.

Agree. They will not throw light with the same intensity over a distance as a halogen bulb. However, it is perhaps worth considering them from a different perspective, as a kind of "black hole filler", which is where I've found they work best. The cut off on the XTZ's dip is too flat and very pronounced and the main is like a pencil beam, leaving a dark patch quite a long way in front of the bike. I set mine so as to fill the black hole left by main beam and, at the same time throw a bit more forward and over the top of the dip cut off, giving it a softer, rounder edge. With this set up you can get away with riding with them on all the time without dazzling oncoming traffic (never been flashed, although I question the legality of it!). This works very well for me, as I spend the bulk of my night riding on unlit C classified rural roads where wildlife, mud and stray sugar beat are the biggest threat to my safety. They will never compete with a pair of halogen driving/spot beam patterns (but they are better than halogen fogs).

LEDs are a very good compromise between light and power consumption, and that is what they are; a compromise.

these are the ones off e bay ....70 quid a pair they are much brighter than the solsice lights at 1800 lumins and a third of the price

they have a conical spread of light though and illuminate everything
tree canopies side of the road thew lot ,,they need a dip attaching to them for that reason but throw out a lot of pure white light

they are exelent value for money shaken bounced dropped and drowned and still chugging away

Auxilary Light bracket

I know some of you folks are adept at building your own light bracket. But for us that are mechanically challenged, have you seen a commercially available bracket for the XTZ660 that tucks the Aux. lights up under the fairing, like in the photo, above?

Thanks for the help.

Redbikejohn: I'm IN. Put me down for one if you make 'em!

Someone on here did make up a few and sold them. My mate who has just bought a z will no doubt want some lights fitted so I'll probably make another bracket. If there is enough call for it I suppose I could do a batch of them?

Adventure Spec do one:

And I imagine Touratech also do something similar...
