Renthal bars

After looking everywhere on here and doing a lot of measuring and research i can pretty confidently say that Renthal 971 bend RC are the closest to XTX 660 original bars.
Got some coming and will let you know how they fit. This is after my local garage fitted some from the fun bike section of Renthal after being sent the wrong ones by the supplier.
They really don't feel right at 735 mm wide and way too much sweep.

Not to mention they really aren't up to the job.

Good for filtering....

Mate, I fitted a set of these last week, Jimmy Button version for the XTR. They are 820mm wide. Too wide for lane filtering, but those ones you've got from a PeeWee 50 should be great for lane filtering :-)

Noticed zero vibration compared to the stockers, even the mirrors don't shake. No need for bar end weights either.

Great British product. Boneman

Hi Boneman. Good to hear about lack of vibes.
The ones i've got are only 2 mm longer than the stock ones ( 800 vs 802 mm )
They arrived today after ordering yesterday. Great service from an ebay seller. UPS express delivery for free! I said i was going to be out all day on Friday, so could he deliver on Monday, and instead i get them in 24 hours dead. Amazing.
Anyway they look great, roll on Sunday for fitting them.
True, good to be buying British

Have fun Sunday

These are dead easy to fit. You should knock the fitting over between church & Sunday lunch :-)

Let us know what differences you notice. Cheers, Boneman.

Here's a shot of The Renthals ( black and lovely )

The original bars ( silver and made from chocolate )

The toy bars the garage fitted ( look for the turd like object )
The sweep on the toy bars was way too much as you can see and the quality not.

And one with them on the bike, way better in every way. Less vibes as said earlier in the post. I'm amazed at the difference between these and the toy bars, so much more rideable.
