somthing different
well after tracking this for quite a while ive finally landed it ...i was on the brink of getting one last year and it was sold while i hesitated ,,
anyway i eventually got the beast and here it is ..the tenere remains of course but my intrest in single thumpers has got the better of me again ..it rides real nice and has a soft delivery .. more tractable thanthe tenere ..well loads more actually it will chug away in 3rd from 1200 revs .. ive done a little taster off road with the iffy tyres and it feels pretty capable but is noticbly less clearance than the tenere ...it feels a lot less top heavy and turns a lot easier without altering the centre of gravity too much it wers its weigh a lot lower down than the tenere if im honest if feels less intimidating andmore managable with both feet firmly in reach of the floor .... suspension seems decent enough on rough stuff front brake ...works ok without much feedback ..but not great ..single disk i suppose but it is adaquate other than that theres not a lot so far i dislike very simple and therear rack could double up as a five a side pitch ..its not going to set the world on fire speed wise but itspleasent enough and very smooth .. upside very very rare dowside very very rare .... ebay us may take a battering soon i rode it back from cannock a couple of days ago and it just chugged along at 80 with no bother .. i think im going to like this bike i probably paid a littel too much 3200 3 years old but on the flip side ..its only done 1500 miles and looks brand new it never seen rain thats for sure ..so compared to new stuff i guess its not too bad great engine bars and sump guard luggage racks handy for me soft panniers just need proper handguards and some new foot pegs any way i thought id show her off little ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by minkyhead; 09-03-12 at 02:46. |

I looked at one too.
Best part about the Kawasaki is that you can get a massive 35Litre after market tank. I liked the bike but the brakes on the one I rode didn't seem to be capable of pulling it up without locking, and really spongy front suspension.
