Hello all! only me again!

I hope everyone had a good crimbo!

Now (i hope not to sound too much of an idiot here) but, i am in need of some decent advice , i have basically been after a smaller enduro bike for this years green laning and i had a dealer call me back about a swap with the tenere, and i just want some others opinions and help if poss on it as i'm not feeling too confident about what has been offered...

Basically the bike is an apparent 2007 wr450f (non ally frame?) that he offered to trade, i'm thinking it could be an 06 or even older! just made road legal some year/s later? Here is a pic of it:

I'm hoping someone here may be able to tell from the pic which model it may be? Googling told me it's no newer than an 06 model even though like i say its on a 07 plate. The asking price is �3,295... what do you guys think?

He offered to deliver the bike and collect the tenere, and settle the "difference" for �500... stating mines only worth 3,6ish even though its a 09 bike with just over 3200 miles and immaculate condition :/ Is he right?

I'm just a little unsure where to go from here, i need to ask the mileage on that WR (went out my head when they called! silly me!) and give it a good check over i think as i havent seen the bike for myself yet, only pictures from the dealers website...

What do you guys think? Being taken for a ride or? terrible pun i know.

Had a few wr450,s over the years, its an 06 model looking at the exhaust, could be an 05 with 06 exhaust though. if its an 06 the speedo will be digital, get the vin number and ring yam uk who will tell you whilst you,re on the phone the year of manufacture and when it was first reg.
there is no way the bike is worth what hes asking even if its an 06, i just bought a 2008 alloy frame wr450 model with 1200 miles on the clock for �2950.
you,d be much better to sell your bike as a private sale and buy a wr with cash on the hip.

Thanks Dave, thats what i needed to hear! I have been looking around but i can't find much decent 450cc's for the right price at the moment and this guy was obviously trying hes luck, i got this pic...


So i guess it's 06 or older then! thanks for the heads up on the speedo thing!
Kinda has alot of "kilometers" on it too! I need some of your luck with finding a bike!

Looking at the speedo area its def a 2005 model or could even be a 2004 model, worth 1900 at the most. leave it in the showroom with 9500 km on the clock, hes dreaming at that price.

ive had a couple of wr 450's they are great bikes, i would agree, i think the bike is way over priced, and with that many km's on the clock as well, its worth maybe 2000 tops id say.
