I used a small dremil tool with a cutting disk worked great. Then sanded the edges to smooth them off.

It is injection moulded polycarbonate and if you mark the cut line with a Sharpie you will be able to cut it easily with a hacksaw. No need to heat it and you can sand and polish the cut line with a Dremel and then wet-and-dry sandpaper to get it smooth.

I cut mine with a jigsaw, no problem, use a fine blade, and don't go too fast.

Steve, I've got a stock one I cut down but found that it was better with a tall screen with a flip for windblast.

Screen

You can dress the cut edge by pulling a metal rule across it like a scraper.
Gives a nice edge to the plastic.
