Plans, rides and getaways ??

Morning chaps.

Been a bit quiet of late on here, but then again I've been away from a proper PC for ages too, so maybe I've missed some stuff

So the first week of the year is out of the way, most of us are back to work and the nights are getting shorter with every passing day (at least in the northern hemisphere, sorry you guys to the south).
Thoughts are now turning to the spring (although we don't seam to have had a winter yet?) and longer days, the sweet smell of new grass, spring flowers and improving roads.

Usually, ride outs are kinda last minute but how about getting a few sorted out this year, some small local rides for guys to get together ? Sure, we have the Lakes meet in May and Dazzers bunkhouse meet, but not much else is on the calendar from what I see for the spring and summer.

So, whats going on ??

Who's doing what?

Any decent rides planned ?? Europe?? Asia ?? Australia ?? Africa ?? America?? or all five??

Have you a road trip in the planning, a pipe dream or wish list ?

Lets have your thoughts, give us all something to look at....

I'm planning a small gathering in the summer, to welcome a RTW traveller (hint - he's in the Americas at the mo...) to the UK, more nearer the time on that one.

anyone else ?

My plan after doing a bit of research into the family history WAS -

Down to the Lakes meet, after which head over to France (Somme)/ Belgium (Ypres) and then onto Turkey (gallipoli) but as is usual in my life things change.

Starting a new job in a weeks time so can't commit to much as yet but still hope to make it to the lakes and do the France and Belgium part of the trip but I think Turkey might have to wait.

I'm free for any ride out's between now and the end of April.

Then Leigh and I leave on our RTW ride and maybe away for 14 months, plus.

no job...house sold.. no point in hanging around .

I'll be at the Dragon Rally in a few weeks if anyone else is going.

Probably going to the Adventure Travel Film Festival in Dorset in August.
