Best slip on exhaust for xt660x
I have trawled through you tube listening to all sorts of slip on exhaust pipe makes but really can't decide which one to go for (makes me kind of sad).
I have bought Akrapovic for all of my previous bikes and they have never let me down due to build quality fantastic sound good considerably lighter than stock exhausts and slight gain in power Look good removable baffle So my question is simple are there any other pipes which are as good or better for my bike than akrapovic? (i do not want a fuill system though due to ins shooting up) I have seen the scorpion, remus, leo vince, beowulf (bit too loud) any simple advice from fellow owners would be great thanks |

I've done the exact same thing but I have heard scorpion cans in real lif and they do sound very nice!!
Then again Beowolf and MTC come with a lifetime guarantee I hope this is of some help anyway!

Having just been in the same boat, I opted for the akrapovic (last week) as George white are selling them on eBay just now for 499 buy it now. I was looking at various other options, like you I have always had and have akras on my other bikes but I thought there were better sounding cans for the xt if I'm honest. But at that price I couldn't turn it down. There the road legal slip on sp series with removable baffles. 500 sheets, BOSH!

mtc's are the way to go my friend, got them on my r and they are the dogs danglies, sounding sweet with or without the baffles, (bit loud without the baffles tho) a quarter of the weight of stock cans, well made, superb quality and made by a localish company that provide great service.
Bit of a no brainer really (imho)
