Looks a bit big and heavy, and a lot like a GS, but I wouldn't mind a test ride...!

Well, following the test ride, I bought one!! After ten months with a Guzzi Norge GT8V (5H1T electrics... avoid!!) I'll be picking it up on Monday. Piccies to follow!

Maybe I need to lose the "tenere" name though?

Dora Doug........

I've just clicked the 800xc over to 500 miles today, so first service next week and we'll see how she really opens up.

Although,,,, I have been doing some comparisons with the Tenere... and,,, well,,, despite the massive power difference the Tenere handles the mountain roads much better, is faster and more responsive on difficult roads. The Tiger is more at home on the more open roads. They do make a nice combination of bikes to have, as they pretty much cover all conditions between them.

Yes, you've got a good combo there! Mine's more for long haul runs to and from Aberdeen just now, but I should really get a trailie as well... I suppose I should have bought your TT600?!

We have had this from new in 2001,it's got 35,000 on it of which we worked out at least 32,000 has been done travelling Europe thats all it gets used for, which included a return trip from the Mugello GP the other week,1200 miles in day and half.

Dymags with a 17" front wheel,Ohlins,Beringer brakes, and few other bits and bobs along the way,it's been an absolute gem,I hope yours is as good.
