snorkle removel

could you tell me .if i take out the snorkle out off the air box will it make any difference to the bike apart from the noise .it got standard can and filtter

There is a thread on here somewhere from Kev the aussie XT wizard where he dyno'ed his bike in many different forms and i think there was one where the bike was standard and he just removed the snorkel.

It should in thoery allow more air into the engine as it has fewer/a smaller restriction to the air flow into the engine resulting in a slight bit more power/torque but it would only be mininal really
