Failing Indicator Problem

Dear All,

I was going to title this topic 'Intermittent indicator problem' but I could see the irony and so didn't for fear of encouraging sarcastic responses.

Over the last couple of days my right indicator had developed a problem where by it would flash more rapidly than normal. Now I know that this is indicative of a blown bulb but this was not so. It also was worse with increased revs e.g. just changed down for a turn at a junction etc but would be fine at lower/idle revs.

I evenyually got round to having a poke about this PM and found that (other than half of Salisbury Plain in there) the issue was simply that the spade connectors were loose and under the increased vibes of higher revs, would make a poor contact. This was in the rear indicator. So I simply pinched the spade connector to make it tighter and hey presto the problem is sorted. I then went on to check the others and found that, whilst not as bad, were not at all tight. A quick pinch with the crimps and all sorted.

So just in case anyone suffers the same issue I thought I would let you know.

Happy riding.
