I live in Oslo Norway, I found you when I googled XT660R problems when my bike just stopped twice in two days.[/font]
I have had my reliable XT660R 2005 it for 4years and before that I have had several XT600s.[/font]
Many years ago I had a Honda XL500R and my whife had a XT550, and we went ona nice 4 week trip around Island and the Faroes Island.[/font]


Anyway, now I commute 12km to work and now it happended two times at the same place 200 meters before my office. I got plenty of battery and fuel, and the starter engine runs but it don’t fire.[/font]
I pushed it to work. When I should return home the first day It started ok but stopped after 100meter. [/font]
I waited an hour, added some fuel even if it was plenty and then it started ok and I went home no problem.The last day I went home after work no problem.[/font]
Yesteday I checked the errorcodes, no errors now but fould three old codes.[/font]
Error Number 30 : The bike went down - DIAG mode 08
Error Number 33 : Coil 1 open circuit - DIAG mode 30
Error Number 41 : Tilt sensor error - DIAG mode 08
I cleared the error memory and will read it again when if the bike stops again next time. Took it a trip last night, runs good but I cannot trust it

Looks like it could be a tilt sensor fault, check the electrical connector for corrosion. Check the readings through the dash when it faults.

It stopped for a few seconds today, but worked again. DIAG memory shows error 41. ANd when I tilt the bike the tilt reading in mode 8 does not change, but remains on 0,6 when I tilt the bike. Does this men that the sensor is defect?
