HELP! Im in Romania and lost clutch cable

hello,
I am writing this from my mobile.

I am in Romania, 49 km from Sighisoara and 90km to Brasov. I just lost my clutch relase cable.
Please advise - do I need to go to Brasov to Yamaha dealer to get a dedicated clutch cable to my xt660z tenere or is there another way?
Thanks for help.

get yourselfe something like this at any bike or scooter shop.
It should help you until you get a better replacement. In this case i used it for the accelerator.

...and keep one spare - you never know...

Im not sure about the Yamaha dealer but take the bike to any mechanic and they should be able to cut and joint a cable for you. It may not be like new but will buy you some more time.

push the bike , run beside it with the engine on an click it into second gear.. it`l jump in a bit but should be ok an change with going off th throttle an clicking into the next gear.. it should be ok, even if ye just stay in second,, ye kin always jist go slow an itl get you to your destination,, once ye encounter any traffic,, jist tap it down to neutral..... but mind go off the throttle.... itl jump a bit but it works fine with clutchless gear changes... jist like when ye do wheelies... ye dont use a clutch...... it will get ye there.. or to the nearest big town where ye kin get help..........

Reminds me of the first bike I ever owned. A 125cc Vespa back in 1967. It's clutch cable had broken and the guy I was buying from gave me a new one. So I rode home with it in my pocket. Never ridden a bike before. Somehow I got home and I can still remember bits of the journey even now. Mind you there wasn't so much traffic to worry about then! Oh, the joys of youth, totally wasted on the young.

Hello,

We just came back. This is exactly what happened. Some Romanian Magician came, took the whole cable out an repaired it in 30 minutes.
The Yamaha dealer in Brasov told me, that he can order new cable, but it will take 3 days to arrive. So I came back home on the fixed old cable.

Thank you all for your help. This is is our video from Romania:

Take care,
