Mixed bag of shops

I recently travelled down to the Central Belt o Scotland and had a rare visit into a few bike shops...

It was a very wet stormy day in Edinburgh and I went over there specifically to look at helmets.

I was soaked by the time I reached Motorrad Central and hardly even a glance was cast as I walked through the door by the disinterested sales staff in a near empty shop. I managed to walk around and try on a couple of bits without even a glance up from their eBaying and only received a word when prompted by me... nil point Oh and put some f....ing prices on things!

Then off to some Yamaha dealer in Rosyth and a similar look of complete disinterest greeted me as i walked into and around their store while four staff held a gripping crappon of their own. I was approached by a very good younger female member of staff who acted very professionally and at least made me stay long enough to look at the XTZ Ten they had.

The next day i went along to FORTH GEAR in South Queensferry and was greeted by a completely different response. Chatty and friendly and with "product knowledge" oh yes! Great little shop and deserving of all the success I hope they have. Thanks, and I even bought something!

I have worked in and around dealers and was taught pretty well how to approach customers. I respect a good approach and sod the rest
