Repacking silencers

I recently bought a 2nd hand Metal Mule/Scorpion 2 into 1 zaust off a fellow XT660er. The chap was great and got a very clean bit of kit to me sharpish. i fitted it the other day after an hour or two of messing about and started it up and it was a noisy little bXXXer!

On reading MM's site and after a quick ring to a helpful bloke at Scorpion UK today i was under the impression that they had a packing that didn't need replacing....

On a whim tonight I drilled the shiny rivets off the end plate and had a look in... a bleedin' empty can bar a few bits of charred and balled wire wool looking material!!

The moral of this story is... they all need repacking regardless of the space age cr-ap thats supposed to be inside
