DNA stage 1 & 2 and Kev fuel mod installed! Few stupid questions...

Just installed DNA stage 1 & 2 filters and Kev fuel mod yesterday

I did short test run and tried to find good setting for fuel mod - Kev's instructions say to use 4-7 o'clock position. First tried a bit over 4, then almost 7 and stick to that. Cant say major difference, but it just felt better.

First impressions of mods: LOUD, with LeoVince X3 and also snorkel removed . Feels like more power especially on higher revs (I found myself reving it way more up than before on acceleration, because it felt like no need to get those low rew horses from bigger gears). And most importantly - almost no surging at all anymore!

Being such skeptical individual, I have small worries still- Can I be sure I installed fuel mod correctly? Yes installation is really for dummies so not much that can be done wrong... But anyway, how to know fuel mod is working properly and my bike is not running lean? If fuel mod is not connected ok, does bike start at all, run badly with filter mods, or even give some diagnostic errors?

Another dumb question - How does stage 2 airbox cover filter manages when washing my bike? Should I cover it, or does it hold water so I can was my bike normally?

Answering to myself, now that Kev gave me peace of mind - If I would have somehow manage to connect fuel mod wrong, there would be engine warning light flashing on dash.

So everything ok!

I had responded to all your questions via Email before I read this post.

If the mod was fitted incorrectly you would have an engine light on the Dash warning you have a fault logged. You have fitted the mod correctly & have adjusted it correctly.

Now go & enjoy your new mods.

Yes you did, sorry for my impatience

Ride to work today and it feels great! Gonna take my "orange" on longer ride tonight, just doing what you adviced, enjoying!

EDIT: Oh yeah, except the bike washing part! Spraying water from hose directly to DNA stage2, what do you guys think? Should I cover it up during wash?

Same here, nowadays I always cover it with plastic bag or some towel and I try not to wash it directly with water ... In the beginning I managed few times to accidentally filled it wit water so I had to band it on right side just to be sure that all water came out.. It's amazing how much water can get inside in such a short time

I didnt really do anything different when washing my bike, just made sure to not direct water straight at the filter. Never found any water inside the air box
