Removing tail tidy and pillion handles

Hi guys, Apologies for my retardedness but needing a lil help.

Some lovely person decided to reverse over my Tenere the other week dragging it down the road before driving off without saying anything.

Not that much damage done but i'm needing to replace the tail tidy/number plate bracket only i cant find out how to remove it.
Could someone please let me know how.

Also if someone could also let me know how to remove the pillion handles i would be grateful. Ive been spraying the old gray panels black. looks a lot better :-)

Sorry to hear your misfortune fella, and a pox upon the scumbag who did the damage.
Grab handles first-

Pop your seat off.
Use a small flat blade screw driver and pry upwards and off the little grey domed caps (4 of) two on each rail.
Use a 12mm socket to then undo the bolts.
Remove the handles.

Okay OE rear light and number plate removal.
With the handles still off, use a 10mm spanner and undo the two M6 nyloc nuts under the luggage area.
Remove the plastic.
You should be faced with the steel subframe now. You should also be able to see the wiring loom for the rear light and indicators. Fiddle about and get the connectors free and unplug them.
Using a 4mm allen key (I think) undo the four domed head bolts that are holding the rear light assembly and plastics in place.
You should be able to pull it free now.

If not, and it catches on the OE silencer, then loosen the exhaust clamp down by the LHS pillion footrest, then the two 12mm head M8 bolts that hold the silencer in place on the rear subframe. I always find that it takes quite a bit of wiggling to get the silencer to come free.
Hope that helps.
