LOL - Just on the off chance that you share the same level of mechanical skills as I do (i.e. mainly using brute force) and manage to split the coolant hose that you will have to work around to access the front mounting bolts, the part number for the replacement is 5VK-E2577-00

I hear the this tool box is as water tight as a

I would not want my tool's getting wet all the time, and for that sort of money I would expect it to be water tight without having to mod it.

Just my 2p worth

It's a nice, well built, if expensive bit of kit unfortunately with one draw back - it is a arse to get tools in and out because the lid only opens half way due to the exhaust header on the left (not an issue on KTM Adventure, which was the bike this part was actually designed for). I modded mine with clevis pin and R-clips to make the lid quick release. This has saved my knuckles being skinned whenever a need to find a tool.

However, I'm working on a slightly more refined quick release lid system as we speak. Watch this space...

Note - nylon washers are superglued in place on the lid.

Oh, nearly forgot: It is worth sealing the four holes in the front (spray from wheel gets in) with silicone from the inside before you fit it, leave the lower two open for drainage (water doesn't seem to get in here).

Here is the B-P and Tool Box on my bike, as the bike went in for a DataTag they (Yam' shop) put the thing on too, aslo, the three keys that came with it, two of them are the WRONG keys, gave them (Touratech) a ring and they'l send me two more

I 've finished the "improved" version of the removable lid by the way...

Yeah! You should have seen the state my right hand was in before I altered the lid!
