            Help I Need Tyres For The HUMM 
            
             Hi,
             Can anyone help me, I have a XT660X and need some good/suitable tyres to do the HUMM in July, Will be doing some off road, Ideas and web links to good site's would helpfull, But remeber I have a XTX so 17" Front and Rear Many thanks Last edited by Rooster; 05-01-11 at 21:49. |

             I have done it on tourance without a problem. you don't need extreme off road tyres down there.

             I used Mitas E-09's last year, and will again this year, but obv they're a 21" front. Dazzer is right though, you don't really need proper knobblies, plenty do it on Tourance-type tyres.
             Funnily enough I had a fairly serious conversation with a mate last year about doing it on supermotos this year - figuring you would potentially be so much faster on the tarmac bits than on knobblies, and only slightly handicapped on the dirty bits.
