Some photo's of my Tenere mods

I've just put together a gallery of a few of the mods I've done to my Tenere so far ....

http://tenere.atsoll.net/#0.16

Summary -
HID Kit with bar mounted switch,
LED Side lights,
LED indicator inserts,
Oxford HotHands heated grips,
Oxford bike thermometer,
Garmin Zumo 400 GPS,
Scottoiler,
HEL braided brake lines (rear set still to be fitted) & Brembo replacement pads,
R&G front fork sliders,
Metal Mule radiator guard,
Metal Mule rear calliper guard (pure bling product IMHO)
Touratech rear carrier & NonFango topbox plate.
LeoVince exhausts.
Westco uprated battery (higher cold crank capacity than the standard battery).

I have a full set of HyperPro springs waiting to go on the front and rear so hope to get them done soon.

Nice work...do you get any issues with the LED indicators? Any faults show up please?

No faults on the XT for things like that as far as I know. I bought an electronic indicator relay a while back so I need to find that then remove the 21W resistors from the back of the inserts.

I wasn't altogether happy with the performance of the HID kit and that it was doing the electrical system any good so I have reverted back to the original headlamp bulb & wiring. The light from the HID kit was excellent but it was the inrush current when starting up that concerned me and the ommission of auto re-strike electronics if the bulb didn't start up 1st time on switching them on.

So, I opted to go the auxiliary light route so invested in a set of Vision X Solsticelamps and mounting bracket. Not the cheapest of solutions but I am pleased with the results especially with minimal additional loading on the electrical system.

Auxiliary fuse box for accessories with main supply switched through a relay and the old Powercommander III from my XTX installed on a fabricated bracket.

DNA stage 1,2, and 3 airbox mods in place. Dynojet Kawasaki O2 sensor plug installed. AIS plugged at the airbox and solenoid cable unplugged. PCIII map from the tech section downloaded (stage 3 with LeoVince cans).

The bike pulls like a train and is still pulling at 100mph. Should make for safer overtakes!

Just the Hyperpro spring kit to be installed once my back is sorted (overdoing the gardening).

Nice bit of mods your got going there.

Just make sure you remove the O2 sensor & fit a blanking plug if you are using the Eliminator.

Otherwise it will clog up the O2 sensor, as you have also disconnected the heater element by unplugging the O2 sensor.

Any recomendations for what to use as a blanking plate for the sensor?

I installed the Hyperpro sprung forks on my bike at the weekend. What a difference that has made to the bike. Much less dive on the brakes without compromising the ride quality. Hopefully get the rear shock resprung soon to complement the front.
