Is this the new ride at Alton Towers!!!!!

Looks like a cracker bodge if you ask me. The feeling you get though when you use it is cracker, and so many people come up and ask you, is that a home made rack is class.

well no-one can accuse you of not being innovative!

If you're happy with it and it works then why the hell not?

one observation tho - how you gonna get the seat off?

why would he want to. It's not as if there's room under there to put anything. And the tool kit is pretty useless anyway.

I love the luggage rack. You could use it as a seat if you take it off

i've got quite a few bits and bobs under the seat! - jump leads (bikes only), allen key set, cable ties, pvc tape, disc lock, torch -all handy

i'm just thinking its sods law that the battery'll go flat or summat when its all loaded up and it'll all have to come off to get the seat off, although i guess it;s just a couple o' bolts, just keep the spanners on the bike!

If it works? Why not.

Apart from Pete's observations about the seat, the only thing I would say is to turn the edges of the flat steel over, or at least into a curve. If you come off it's going to impale you!!!

But there is nothing wrong with this at all as a concept, and with one or two minor modifications, it's a great solution.

Mod's come in all shapes and sizes, some good, some bad - I like this, great way to recycle, and it gives you a nice cheap solution to a problem.

If i could find a 'jaffle' maker i might try it.....

i agree with Darren (GULGo) , sort out the pointy bits and it'll be fine.
