Talking Back on the XT after 20 years off!

Hi from a newbie

Back on an XT after many years on multi cylinder bikes that were predominantly used for touring, haven't had this much fun since my Triumph Tiger 955i and restored my enthusiasm!

Already fitted a K&N filter and MTC road legal exhausts and adjusted the C01 to 15 from its original setting of 7, still got the surging and when I gas it and get the front wheel hovering it suddenly loses power as if it hits a rev limiter but I know it has plenty left.

Love the sound of the MTC road legals with the baffles out but would like to get it running properly, I know the XT doesn't do "smooth" though.

2004 XTX

Mid life crisis at 44, should no better at my age!

and to

perhaps a different colour types set might stand up a bit better.

Enjoy the bike.

Hi

I liked the colour because it matches the bike!

Thanks for the advice though.

Welcome to the forum mate

Piccies are a must

Have a search on the forum to make sure you dont have one of the faulty ECU's which some of the 04/05 XT's had.

Does sound funny when you say it losses power once the wheel just starts getting up.
