Power commander question

After reading about the lack of o2 eliminators on 07 bikes onwards, I understand it is recommended not to map up to 5k rpm at 20% throttle?

Does this make it worth installing on on a 2010 bike? I'm not overly concerned about it not curing the surging completely, but more if it will generally make a difference, or if it will run the risk of running dangerously lean if I start adding more air through airbox mods?

I want to add the DNA filters to my setup, but don't want to damage the bike by running it too lean over this rev range.

Is there anything to worry about?

It is well worth mapping the PCV over the whole RPM range, what are the numbers on your 2010 ECU?

Hi Kev,

I've got the one that ends in -11. Am I right in thinking though that they recommend not mapping up to 5k at partial throttle?

Basically you cant get the A/F ratio spot on in that range, but I always tried to get the map as close as possible. Map the Power commander through the whole RPM range as best as you can.

Are there any pointers you can give, with regards to mapping up to 20% throttle?
We had real problems using the tuning link because when the A/F swept up and down due to the open/closed loop it wasn't mapping correctly.
Tried to do it manually without tuning link, but again with the dancing A/F found it difficult.
I didn't know what to say or how to help the Dyno guy. We continued to try, but it isn't right. As expected we got the more open throttle positions mapped fine. 08XTX
