Hi folks, the dreaded has happened. Something amiss with engine, not related to other posts on crank nut or cam chain. CRANK related. I have been told by bike mechanic to look for a second hand engine as to expensive and got to send off crank to get balanced after. Should I split casings to see for myself or not, and if big end bearing related or conrod, does it need to be sent away or can a novice mechanic (me) perform such a task. .... any thoughts and tips appreciated. cheers cam.
