Mirrors...

Right, this has been bothering me for a while...

I hate the look of the standard XT mirrors. They look cheap and rubbish.

I know a couple of you have fitted bar-end mirrors, and that O-T-R do some small, carbon look ones.

I've also had a quick chat with one of our members (Enduro) who has modified a set of Yamaha Aerox Scooter mirrors to fit, but it required cutting and welding new threads on (I don't have a mig welder anymore).

I really like the look of the job he did, and the look of KTM 950 SM mirrors.

You can see Enduro's guide here: http://www.motonline.pt/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=19191

My question is this... Does anyone know of any good looking mirrors that screw straight in to the stupid left handed and right handed threads on the XT?

Storm

Me like are they any use for seeing behind you (or at least any better than the standard rubbish)? it's just I'm getting one hell of a crick in my neck in this cold weather

They're smaller, so they are probably a bit rubbish for seeing behind... But at least they look better!

Not if they vibrate less I find. That said, how often would I use 'em?

Hmmm... Not sure Mick... How do they affect you when filtering? I find the XT's bars wide enough in London!

Know what you mean, I clouted a BMW wing mirrow last night (sticking my elbows out like a wally after reading 'Race to Dakar') and zig zagged down the rest of the waiting traffic only just missing a rather embarassing moment

OK, ****** to it. I think I'm just going to order the OTR carbon ones and see how I get on. They are only 25 anyway.
