I fitted my stage 3 DNA filters last night.

The cone filter replaces the original and is held down by the plate with 4 screws that replaces the original with the snorkel removed. The panel filter goes on the left hand side covered by the metal plate replacing the grey plastic pannel. That's all find and dandy.

Only question, the small round thing. Does it 'plug' into the top of the new cone filter as I have done in the picture below?

Is that not the DNS restrictor ? for use when you want the efficiency of the DNA S2 , but without the extra air ??

I have no idea...it came with no instructions and there was nowhere obvious for it to go other than sat in the top of the cone filter

You do not need to fit it, as mentioned it is a restrictor & will reduce the air flow.
