Mixing them up
I replaced the Pirrelli on the back with a Pirrelli, despite wanting a Dizantia, but Essential Rubber were out of stock.
Now the front is "low" & I want to go All Dizantia, but don't want to ditch the half worn Pirrelli, so I'm going to replace the front with a Dizantia and wait for the rear to wear down, say another 2k miles. Your opinion on the wisdom of doing this, Safety-wise, would be gratefully rec'd! <0><0> |

Its up to the rider, some people say they cant ride a bike with a new tyre on one wheel and an old one on the other. Most people can cope ok, you just have ot understand that with a near rear and part worn front that after the rears beded in the fronts going to be the weaker of the tyres ie least grip or other way round for new front and old rear.
Personally i dont really notice a massive difference in grip as long as the tyres are completey worn or squared off.

I've ran mixed pairs of manufacturers, mixed pairsof new and old, i've ran just about every combination you can.
I'm still breathing. Tyres these days are not the tyres of the 1950's. All tyres at road speeds are more than enough for average humans.
