Exclamation Messy oil replacement

I just completed my own oil/filter replacement as the bike as 21750km and the warranty expires next week.

I had it done by the local dealer before.

I used to do oil/filter and all sort of work on my GSE500 and my VFR750, so I wasn't expecting any trouble.

but wow, this is messy !!!!

3 drains for the oil ! (frame, crankcase, filter drain)

I'm glad I saw it coming and had a lot of newspapers under the bike...I still managed to get some oil on the concrete in front of the house

Otherwise, pretty straightforward with decent funnel to catch/fill in the oil.

the best thing being: with the Yamaha aluminium bashplate, the oil drain is accessible without removing the bashplate, happy days
