Red crash hats on this sight?
What is the purpose of the red crash hats on the sight, I see I have two? Are they like red cards only get 5 and your on yer bike, so to speak?
Where do we post trivial questions like this? So many threads I often don't know where to post what, lol. I am sure THIS very post doesn't belong here but........ Keep well you guys and gals. Best wishes, Ryland |

Ryland, I can confirm to you that the red helmets are not disciplinary remarks but quite the contrary, being a feature existing in many other forums, they represent your ageing status within the community, more helmets means more posts and together with that your status slogan under your Username changes too with the number of posts.
However I have always stated that to us, 1 or 5 helmets does not make one bit of difference, and frankly, I prefer less quality posts than a zillion posts for posting sake full of BS. And to satisfy your curiosity here is how the helmets and slogans are affected by the number of posts. Oh and another thing. This post doesn't really belong in the Forum Announcements section but more like in the Site Issues where it is more at home. If anything I would like to set a system of strikes for those who keep posting out of context discussions, we cover, I believe, an intensive diversity of topics and there's one for everything but somehow every once in a while I find bewildering amazement at - example- questions about tyres posted in the meeting section and similar.
